Mainly, I'm asking about my turn check. Should I be betting here?
What's up with that river?

There is no way I check the turn its a dream card for you as he plays the flop like a pure flush chaser. He may well have checked his flush to you looking to check raise at which point you can push; which I would do unless he was very tight and I could put him on KQ K9 (if he was that tight we can rule out K9). Also most people will raise 2 pair on a flush board; although not if they are loose passive fish I guess.
As is the river is a nightmare card. I doubt he pushes a flush at you on this board and besides that you are hoping he is pushing his A high kicker; so I think you have to give him credit for a K or Q and fold. I think he might have AQ or QJ spades or something.

I would bet that turn every time and just HOPE he has a king or a flush and is going to check-raise you. Absolutely no way I'm checking behind with that dream card coming down. You're only behind a few hands (KQ, KK, QQ) and I don't think he would play any of those hands the way he did through the turn.

Try to get it all-in at the turn. It's a flush/Kx way more often than KQ.
River is an easy fold of course, he either has the K (pointless push), Q (idiot), or a flush (idiot; you'll get his money later).

I checked the turn hoping he'd value bet his hand on the river so I could come over the top for all his chips.
