poker stars game against an unknown, pretty solid from the few hands hes played. I have a really nitty image and i cbet frequently.
(special thanks to spenda for his videos, really helped my game out=d)

i might fold pre, but if you're gonna play; raise utg to 10c in a loose 6-max micro preflop. raise flop 3/4, check behind on turn (your monsters turned to shit and there's no point bloating pot), then his raise probably wont be quite so large, which I'd probably call. (except if you raised preflop you wont be in this situation against k4s lols)

 in general its not good to open limp, especially UTG. If a hand is good enough to play it should be good enough to raise. I agree with what manners said for the most part. Check the turn because your hand is a split at best now and it helps control the pot size. If the turn checks through i call a river bet 100% of the time. Here idk i still want to call, but its a spit like 75% and quads 25%. fold i guess.

The best way to play this hand is by acting like quads is a ludacris fantasy hand that doesn't exist.

Worry about making good reads sometime in the future. Your job at this level is to make good hands and stack off. Anything else is a mistake.

Your hand is AAKKK. All in. Laugh maniacally when he flips 22-QQ sometimes, because he will, and that's why you disregard quads.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Down here at 2NL there are plenty of people who play k4s in a raised pot. I was playing with someone last night who was playing any two cards almost no matter what was raised and would go to the river with anything as long as it looked "good".

You would do very well to listen to Rondavn in regards to how to play at these levels.

At 100NL I find raising preflop still won't get rid of the "anything suited crowd". But lol @ Mass caring about optimal play at this level. Not trying to sound like an ass about it, but he has been a 200NL regular for a while now. You are right though, people at high limits tend to lose perspective at how play developes at the micros.

OP, please never fold that. Do like Rondavu said, and at the very least if you have that bad feeling, just call.

thanks for the replies everyone. I really only play on 2nl atm because
my brother stopped letting me play on his account. I used to play 10nl at bodog (30$--->270$ i know bad br management but i didnt really have much other choice=/) and did fairly well and ive played in tons of cash games with friends.

And yeah galapagos, i did have one of those bad feelings on this hand. I have been going with my read alot more and in this hand i culdnt really bring myself to call "knowing" that he had quads. But i do understand the reasoning of just calling and even going all in.

I was wondering, when do things like Acehud and poker tracker actually help
us play? 50nl? 100nl? When i do get good enough/get rolled at those stakes, are these two things absolutely necessary and are they expensive?

HUDs are useful at all levels. If I multi-table 4+micros I find it hard to keep an eye out for the really tight players, so when I make a tough decision or get 3bet with something marginal I just look at their stats and combine this information into my normal play when making the decision (Aslong as we have a decent history)

I guess it's more useful at the higher stakes but I still find it very helpful from 5nl - 100nl


K4s was just an example, ok maybe a bad one. but my point is most people will fold K2o-K7o to a bet here which is all i was saying.
