End of a SnG. An early coin flip went the wrong way and I was short stacked 5-10xBB trying to double up and get out of trouble for most of this.

#149 Min-bet said to me he had a mediocre hand and I might be able to push him off it. I was right about the hand, and wrong about pushing him off it. If he called, I most likely had two live cards that can make a lot of straights. The flop rocked, turn was great too... damn that river.

any thoughts?

I can see a few things. I have done pretty well HU. From what I can see he has played HU before and is aggressive. But your not aggressive enough. Never fold SB to him if your HU. Your giving away chips. At least call. Folding makes u look week.

Thats really all you can tell from HU cuz Ace high and PP are great HU. Just dont give chips up for free. at least call or raise.

Heads up is all about making moves and in this case you did damn well. Cards didn't go your way. Fighting your way out of short stack usually involves a coinflip or three.

I'd have to disagree with Corey here. Folding your SB gives your pushes and raises ALOT of credibility, and establishes that you're tight, and also avoids playing from first position which can bork your short stack really fast. I think however, you should occasionally raise it with crap, and give your good hands less credibility. Generally you'll get a free flop and possibly hit something bettable there as well.
