this was a fun hand that had me thinking so im posting it.

on the turn, the SB (empiremaker) took a really long time to fold, so im pretty sure he folded the best hand of the 3. the button is this straightforward guy that has been spewing a ton lately so i thouht, given the pot size, it was a good call. its funny because if i wasn't behind the SB, he would probably call this, but hes forced to fold in fear of me having a monster.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $50 BB (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Button ($5309)
SB ($7685)
Hero ($11043)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, 8.
Button raises to $200, SB raises to $700, Hero calls $650, Button calls $500.

Flop: ($2100) T, 6, 4 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($2100) T (3 players)
SB bets $1200, Hero calls $1200, Button raises to $4609, SB folds, Hero calls $3409.

its still a tough call because even in that scenario guy has like 15 outs. So u gabe is 70/30 when ahead and 4/96 when behind.

Meaning guy needs to have a flush draw a lot more than a T for gabe to have +EV

Not really. If the villain's range is flush draw & overs / trips / 66 / 44 then it's a good call by gabe if the villain has a flush draw more than 1/3 of the time. Takes some balls to shove a flush draw though when it looks like you're certain to get called.

Is this guy bluffing here simply because he believes that no one has any sort of hand (likely)!? Because a bluff here is so seethrough.
Check out the new blog!!!

Don't forget pot odds, pot is already pretty big. Gabe needs to win only 3409/12518 or 27%.

NH btw.
