Read hand #1, Torrance is LAG semi-poor. He has bounced around between $25-10 in stack size for 10 orbits. He doesn't usually lose his whole stack, but has made a few -EV LAG moves that I have seen. I have raised him out of a couple hands lately and he may be making a stand.

I don't particularly like the way you played either hand. I think that the first hand you should either raise or fold there an unsuited A9, I would lean towards folding preflop. On the flop you need to bet out with the flush draw out there and pretty much the entire table in the hand. As played I put the rest of the other guys stack in and hope for the best, as it turns out he hit a two outer on you.
The second hand, I also think you need to fold preflop. 97o isn't exactly the kind of hand you should be limping with, even in position. You should stay away from these junky offsuit hands that can get you into a lot of trouble. As played I think you don't want to play a huge pot here with bottom two pair, so I would make a smaller bet on the turn and definitely fold to the river push.

You fold A9o on the buttonwith a couple limpers in 6max? Isn't that a little week for 6max. I would usually raise here. I do agree that I am not real happy with the way I played it. I don't think you get any action by betting this on the flop. Since I limped, I am willing give everyone a free turn card, conceal my hand(sort of), and check/fold to any that completes the flush. I guess I still run the risk of some PP hitting their two outer as happened on the river. With my reasoning, do you still hate my play or does that make it more EV+. Would you all bet smaller on the river? I thought I had the best hand at that point. Or is his stack too short to get away from this hand if you even wanted to?
On the second hand, I question whether anyone with a T cold calls $5 on an inside straight draw? Previously he was betting small(on draw) or check/calling not raising(on draw). The opponent was not passive. I think he raises the turn with Trips and bets more on the flop with QT. He may have JT, but I showed commitment to my hand on the turn, why wouldn't he raise me there? Something about Hand #2 smelled fishy. Am I imagining this or does something stink like a bluff here?

There's nothing wrong with folding A9o there even 6 handed, it's a very marginal hand that you either win a small pot with or lose a big one. There are only a few good flops for A9o that you can be confident with the hand, for example three nines or two pair. Three aces you have to worry about your kicker some since players who limp JJ are just as likely to limp AT+. If you're going to play a hand like A9o then you're better off raising than just limping in. I would limp if it was suited.
The second hand I think he could easily have a flush draw with say the ten of spades and missed his flush but hit his straight. I think you're beat here often, and you can only beat a total bluff. I'm guessing you called and he flipped up the ten of spades and scooped the pot?

Thanks for the thoughts Aislephive. I thought my only worry was JT & QT, but you're right a lot of TX will play this way here on flush & gutshot draw. I didn't think of that. Luckily I was playing someone who didn't like the fact that they just put $7 in the pot on a draw and bluffed at the river. I thought I smelled it out, but you're right AT s -- T8 s has me dead to rights. And they could all play here to a limped pot. Thanks,
