Villain is a fairly competent reg running 28/24/2 over 300 hands, I feel all streets are fairly interesting specifically the river.
On the river I'm preety much getting value towned the majority of the time by a9-aa, basically better 1 pair hands. He very rarely has a set himself and the only hands im worried about are backdoor flushes. I don't overkill the river raise as I feel it looks less bluffy plus if he does have a backdoor flush/seldom boat I lose less than if I raised more.

Turn: ($33, 2 players)
Hero bets $21, UTG calls $21

Pre-flop: ($3, 5 players) Hero is BTN
1 fold, CO raises to $7, Hero calls $7, 2 folds
Flop: ($17, 2 players)
CO bets $12, Hero raises to $34, CO calls $22
Turn: ($85, 2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $52, CO calls $52
Figure he never has a set or decent flush draw as he'd 3 bet flop, though I'm a bit worried he'll jam the turn with tp/overpair with a decent f draw but If I check it's to give up unless I spike a 7 or q
River: ($189, 2 players)
CO checks, Hero goes all-in $144.05
He very rarely has a boat at this point or a flush as he'd jam turn with it, most likely has an overpair /tp type hand with a diamond that will hate life If I shove, so I do.
What it do?

1) Fold river I think he still cry calls an overpair and he can have diamonds just as often as you. Turn may be a fold as well actually depending on how villain plays.
2) I don't mind this. I wouldn't say he never has a boat or a flush but this is still a good bluff imo.

Oh I didn't c that. I think it's worse then cause he's gonna check behind the large majority of his range on the river and probably not b/f very often. If I was donking the turn I think it would be much more credible to bet the river instead of c/r.
I don't have any idea how you play and a lot of your bluff lines depend on what villain thinks your value line would be but I'd be calling way more than folding in hand 1 if I were villain.

I'm not one who donna turns much at all so I don't see why u are doing it, wud like to know why u did it. The turn is a good barrel card for him and it hits our range more so I'd prob just c/f turn most time with c/c being the rest. Donking seems to overrep your range a ton like a playing a set, I'm not sure how many draws are in your range u play like this. Basically I feel your turnin 88 into a bluff when u don't need to. I wud c/f river.
On hand 2, I think we can mix in some pre 3bet but calling is fine. I wud flat the flop cb and play from there. I agree with your turn and river lines and thoughts.

I basically donked turn to regain initiative in hand, the objective being to take down the hand there and then and to set up river bluffs if called. I was originally gonna fire river for $66ish then I thought a check was better as I sometimes have the best hand and it'll go check/check, when he bets I now figure I'm beat and If I c/r, which I often will with a boat/
ax diamonds he should fold a decent portion of his river value range. I think my river raise size is kinda sexy as it looks like it's for pure value and not very bluffy, I probs get looked up alot more if I make it $180 or something.
Tbh I think the whole hand is a classic case of FPS, I was just wondering how spazzy it was.

the reason why i like hand 2 better is because you have position and it's a more believable spot.
i think hand1 is misplayed, i think you just about never have a flush here - what are you c/c the flop with - a runner runner FD?
when i have medium pp's and i'm oop i generally try and keep pots small and get them to bluff their overcards and barrel bluffs, nothing too fancy
