Vi-Zer0Skill is on a distinguished road
playing pots where the flop was check/raised is a topic where i need to expand my knowledge base. here's what i already know:

on polarized boards, sizing generally can be smaller. is 2.5x the smallest you would check/raise to? on more coordinated flops, with 100bb stacks, i usually check raise 3.5x.

this means if our check/raise gets called, on polarized boards the SPR is going to be at least 2:1. we have the option of bet/folding the turn.

however, it seems like we usually don't have that option on coordinated flops. i'm wondering how you usually play the turn if you check/raised a drawy flop with a draw and don't complete on the turn.

here's an example: 100NL, 100bb stacks, 6 handed. NO HISTORY. regular multitabler TAG raises from MP, hero calls from BB with T9s. hero has been playing straighforward.

flop comes J86 ($7) and MP cbets $5. hero check/raises to around $20 and MP calls. turn is a 5. what's the plan?

MP's turn range/actions:
-AJ/QQ+ probably aren't folding
-how's he playing his drawing hands if i bet the turn? it's dependent on his playing style and my image. my question is how often does he have a drawing hand?
-are there any made hands he might fold to my turn bet? he might fold QJ/KJ... these can't make up more than 20% of his range right?

Usually c/f the turns you missed. If I'm having a combodraw I might continue on a blank. (i.e. the more outs you have, the more you can continue)
Before you c/r, think of scare cards you can bluff as extra outs.

If you're having a read villain calls flop c/r's light or something we have extra options, but this is what I use as a standard.

Q: I generally don't c/r dry bluff flops because I can't rep a lot. Not sure if my opponents are even thinking a lot about that though and besides that, complete air is folding anyways.
I know we're playing on about the same stakes, what are your experiences with it?

I can imagine doing it a lot IP and rarely OOP, thoughts about that?

minsim: people still don't call worse than top pair when you do c/r
they're not usually taking a stand with an underpair
