Reads...Villain, he is overly loose, 66/17/3 over 100 hands, and often betting when check to. I am slag, but have been showing real good hands when I bet big on river (table very loose/passive overall), and also folding when I check to villain and he bets.

This is a great spot to check raise right?

With your read and the action on earlier streets, I think a river c/r is good, because villian will likely bet with a busted straight or flush draw when checked to on the river.

fyi I almost never checkraise the river, and I dont think you miss a whole lot of value at small stakes games if you never checkraise the river. But in some spots a c/r has a bit more value, and I think this is one of them. Though leading this river is not terrible by any means imo.

you gotta think that villian usually has a drawing hand with his flop and turn action, which would make checking river best even with one pair hands

I agree with Robert that in general c/r the river at lower stakes is not good. This would seem to be a rare exception.

idk, i think I lead this river.

And I check-raise the river way more than most players.

Renton, I'm very interested why you'd rather lead the river instead of check raise a bad lag like that...and curious how much.

Result I think was I bet 18 and he insta folded. I dont check raise much at all, especially the river, but am trying to work on good situations for it, and thought this was pretty ideal.

Well you have to ask yourself whether it's more likely that he has a weak marginal hand that will check behind but will call a bet, or whether it's more likely that he has a missed draw that he'll bluff with. I don't think it's that obvious that he was drawing, there's a lot of one pair hands he could have if he's as bad as you say he is.
