Whats the best way to normally play this situation.
PFR
Bet out flop
Check turn. Reraise bet. OR call turn bet and bet out on river.
Are folks more likely to call a check raise in hopes of seeing the river , or
call a value bet on the river.

I suppose it depends on their holdings. If they are chasing the flush and miss they are doubtful to call on the river, although watch for the desparation re-raise! If they are just calling with a weak hand a value bet on river (and turn) is best.

take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

if im pre flop raiser then i check raise about 30% time if i know im going to get aggressive players trying to steal the pot if they think ive missed. often this is with overpairs or with sets where i think i can let another player bet the flop for me.
at lower levels the check raise is a nice move because many players simply dont believe you- they think its a bluff.
As ive moved up ive found more people respect the check raise but will still call to see (often to showdown) to find out what cards ive check raised them with.
Chekc raise is a pretty strong play to me
