I had been playing fairly tight, almost always betting with the goods and betting moderate amounts (1/2 pot was typical). On this hand I went looking for a set but found instead an opportunity.

I think the turn bet is the good part. UncleBohh was a smart player and I had to send exactly the right message. In this case, it was "please call this weakass bet... by which I mean, please fold right now, Uncle."

Well played, I do the same thing very often, especially with a three-suited flop. Call the flop bet, and make a marginal bet if checked to. An overbet will look too obvious... you get folds pretty often by making a smaller bet, and you are also risking less.
Lack of Discipline and Over-Confidence... The root of all poker evil.
