hey. opp is playing 31/21/1.8 here. I dont like a 3bet pre as TT plays badly oop and this opp i would assume will call 3bets relatively light.

I think my best line here is to just c/c twice as the turn is very favorable. River is probably the worst card possible for my hand, what will it take here for you to call a triple barrel?

$1/$2 No Limit Holdem
4 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
CO ManBearPig89 ($221.70)
BTN wimpy21 ($197.00)
SB Kette69 ($21.00)
BB Hero ($207.00)

Pre-flop: ($3, 4 players) Hero is BB
ManBearPig89 raises to $7, 2 folds, Hero calls $5

Flop: ($15, 2 players)
Hero checks, ManBearPig89 bets $10, Hero calls $10

Turn: ($35, 2 players)
Hero checks, ManBearPig89 bets $23, Hero calls $23

River: ($81, 2 players)
Hero checks, ManBearPig89 bets $65

Final Pot: $146

i would 3bet pre. TT plays fine as long OOP as long as you have discipline to pitch when you need to. This is the type of spot where you can call with read but without one you really are going to have tough time. The thing is, IDK how often someone like this is going to be barreling his draws. I think he would check behind QT and maybe a FD on the turn. So you could argue a call if you think he's capable of spewing or thin valuetowning, but I would advise having a read before you go playing hero.
here is my inspiration, ISF upset that he lost a dollar: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...806.html#28211

I would fold river unless opp has shown 3-barreling tendencies. However I think you picked the wrong opponent for the preflop call. I would always 3-bet TT against a 31/21 here. Flop and turn are played well against an aggressive opponent.

perhaps it is because the guy is somewhat passive from the few hands i have against him. the reason i generally dont like to play any hand like 99-JJ, AJ-AQ etc in 3bet pots oop against a lagg is because they will simply outplay me most of the time because of position.

fact is when i have 1010, there's a 60% chance that J,Q,K or A flops and I won't know where I'm at. Again, position is the huge factor here.
As played I think it's a pretty standard fold on the river.

I could CR this flop, but I have to give up if he calls, simple as that. Again the issues of getting outplayed here. It's tough to play these sorts of hands oop and I'm just looking to see how a good tagg would be playing this. Also, keep in mind its a UTG raise, even lagg's tend to be quite tight there.

4 handed TT has to be a 3bet from any position against everyone but the nittiest of nits. if fold to the river shove if you havent seen him barrell w/ Air/overs/ or turn and underpair into a bluff, but i dont mind calling the flop and turn as played. Can we ever block bet the river for like $30ish?

This should be more of a reason to 3-bet, shouldn't it? If someone is calling 3-bets light, then we wanna 3-bet more and merge our range a bit more since we can dominate them with a wider range.

umm... why? We have a pretty marginal hand, why do we want to bloat it OOP? It's not a crazy draw heavy flop or anything either. If we wanna be the aggressor in this hand, then I think leading is decent in this spot.

Statistically, yes i easily see why 3betting is worth it due to him calling light, ie we have a preflop advantage. However I still think this type of hand plays terribly out of position and I have to admit I'm not the greatest post flop player, and more or less terrible oop.

Say I 3bet this, flop comes 8xx, i lead he raises - do we stack off every time? Say I lead on 8xx and he calls, turn comes A high, I check he bets and I call once, but check/fold the river 100% of the time.

Let's say I 3bet and the flop comes QJ3, do I check/call once and then give up, do I lead and shut down to a call?

I could list numerous situations here where I'm just looking for a reason to fold based on flops and him calling, and due to these reasons I prefer not to 3bet because I'm oop.

To me, hands like 99-JJ play about the same oop, if it's an overpair (rare rag low board) then that's pretty good esp against bad opponents. If we hit set then it's easy. Other than those two scenarios it's really tough to play.
