I was curious if anyone ever sits down and develops their ranges. For instance, right now, I'm creating a BTNopening range against "unknown", a range that would be played exactly as I have it written down until something triggers change, but also I want to write down(while pretty much memorizing, I just want to have it written in front of me as well for study) ranges for various conditions, and hopefuly this well develop my basic ranges that I find play most profitably in situations. As I have thoughts on these ranges, I can go back to my template and adjust as I find possible leaks or less than Max EV areas.

Anyway, thoughts on this would be really helpful.

Also, I find myself curious about Kxo and Qxo hands. I mean, Are people opening any queen? Could/should a template range include Q2o? I understand that ranges should theoritically contain ATC already, but I rarely findmyself willing to open 23o on the first hand.

Just bare in mind that especially in HU a standard range is just a starting point. You should be adjusting your ranges for your opponents.
Just playing to improve.

I assume this is for HU sngs? If you have a hud you can essentially plug the percentages into poker stove and you will be able to determine villains' preflop ranges pretty accurately although they will be very wide.

Cash, but yeah that's what I've done in the past w/ opening ranges, it's what gave me the Idea. For other things though, or for smaller ranges you kindof have to determine what villains percieved range is, I mean, X% into Stove will give you top x hands but won't include Small PP's and stuff, so then you have to add those, then remove other hands to give you the right %.

I've realized this really only works well for opening ranges, but I haven't worked on others that I'd like to yet. Like 3b vs different BTN opening stats, however, I think by the time I've played villain enough to know what percentage he's opening, I will have noticed other things that will shape my 3b range if only slightly, so one 60/40 I might 3b different hands than another, so IDK. If nothing else it helps w/ immediately understanding villains likely range.
