Villain is 27/16, A2S was 23% over only about 60 hands. I am playing 24/20 and kinda aggro if he even pays attention.
We have only been involved in one pot where I limped 55 in SB and he turned TP into trips vs. my set/boat. I value towned him each street with just over a 1/2 PSB on river. He called 3 streets in position w/ Q7 on 54QsQx board.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero ($116.50)
UTG ($52.65)
MP ($123.70)
Button ($95.80)
SB ($131.15)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, T.
3 folds, SB raises to $4, Hero calls $3.

Flop: ($8.50) J, 5, 8 (2 players)
SB bets $4, Hero raises to $8, SB raises to $20, Hero calls $12.
My flop MR was a insta-click-it-back. In hindsight, probably a mistake.

Turn: ($48.50) 3 (2 players)
SB bets $20, Hero calls $20.
My plan is to hit my str8 or bluff the flush on the river since he bet the turn small.

River: ($88.50) 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $45
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

my standard play would be to shove the turn if i were going to bluff

if i floated the turn instead i'd go all in on the river

All that said, the flop raise is pretty bad. It looks weak and just builds a big pot when we don't have much to be excited about.

I insta-call and fuck with him on the turn.

minraising a cbet versus "clicking it back" is like a barrel of monkeys versus a corn dog. your river bet is quite bad, go all in if u must but pleeease dont bet half pot

So value bet bluffs do not work? I thought going for value looked stronger then the "All-In". Kinda post oak. I feel, and likely incorrectly, that shoving the flush looks more bluffy.

Thanks for the critique as I realize the hand is F'd up. I just KNEW his cards and did a shitty job of getting him off the hand.

I don't really understand the flop minraise. You're going to induce shoves from all sorts of marginal hands as well as draws (all of which are probably better than yours).

If you're going to raise, raise to amount with some fold equity ($12-15), or if you insist on raising small, do it with a much stronger draw (AKh's etc) that will get shoved on by worse draws at least.

Though even with AKh's I like a much bigger raise still, to force them to either fold or shove anyhow.

As played, fold turn, cause you have serious reverse implied odds going on. His bet looks like its suckering you in.

value bet bluffs DO work in a lot of spots, just not here. He's not just gonna fold AJ-AA on this board because you make it look like you are value betting on the river. Your line is weak/confusing enough that you get looked up all day when u only bet half pot.
