I've folded just about every hand since I've sat down, 2-3 orbits. Last hand I raised limpers from my BB with QJo and took it down pre-flop.

I think BB is TAgg, I've seen him before but he's not in my database. He's opened a lot of hands, some on a limp so he might be in a high gear or my read might suck.

CO just sat down on a short-buy.

There is one other fish at the table, not in this hand, everyone else has been fairly tight, in line and playing small pots.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

CO ($44.65)
Button ($189.80)
Fnord ($204)
BB ($235.80)
UTG ($104.90)
MP ($197)

Preflop: Fnord is SB with K, K. CO posts a blind of $2.
1 fold, MP calls $2, CO (poster) checks, 1 fold, Fnord insta-raises to $10, BB fairly quickly re-raises to $21, MP folds, CO raises to $44.65, Fnord thinks.... calls $34.65, BB quickly re-raises to $235.8, Fnord thinks.... calls $159.35 (All-In).

How'd I do? BB seemed to be very surprised I considered laying this down.

Dont think you should fold, but if BB has anything but AA I'd be very, very surprised.

Renton will become famous soon enough
easy call

bb 5bets a very wide range to isolate the shorty, including AK, QQ, JJ, and possibly AQ or TT.

I might just shove it in after CO re-reraises.

i agree with renton. I think someone posted a similiar hand a couple of days ago where he was the BB and he pushed over with AK to isolate the shorty who was already allin in the hand

If you think this, then calling is absurd.

I pretty much ruled this out. BB rarely makes a mistake if I do this and I want to make sure I get the best of his $180 behind.

The faster the raises the less likely its AA and more likely AK/QQ/JJ

Fnord,

Did he have AK/JJ then? That would be the most likely hands I would put him on.

Tall stack had TT
Shortie had Q7s

I flop a King and it's easy money.

Tall stack gave me a ton of shit over tanking.

yeah TT is defenitly in his range as well.

BB's way of playing this hand is kinda "standard" for thinking players, and when this situation comes up once in a while it can be huge leak against thinking players and can be exploited, just like you did! nh dude

"Sorry, I was too busy remembering how dumb people are"

or

"I'm playing 12 tables, i almost folded"

or my favorite:

"zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

Not pushing like this preflop is an excellent line, and I probably wouldn't have done it. Well played.

Difference in mind-set. I wasn't playing for the pot, I was playing for his stack.
