If anyone is interested my friend (high stakes player) recently told me what NotThisTime's winrate was at 5kNL and personally I almost shit my pants.
He makes 8ptBB/100 hands.
8!!! at 5k!!! are you serious!? I guess the high stakes players to him are like typical 50NLers are to us.

wtf warpe that link doesnt work? is this some type of joke??

yea bld is sick for sure. i know he ran at 8ptbb over 100k hands at party 10/20, but i doubt he has done the same at starts 25/50 because a) the games are tougher than party, b) its full ring, and c) i dont think hes even played 100k hands on stars.

Thats a pretty bold statement that I dont think many would agree with. Antonius? Aba? The list could easily go on, and thats only for NLHE. What about PLO? The guy is insanely good, but he is not the best cash game player online. In NLHE he is up there, but still not the best and I dont think even BLD would agree with you on that.

yea, he was the king of partypoker though and could take the same crown on stars, although FT would be alot tougher

Gabe you once made a comment I found interesting but enigmatic about BLD after playing him HU on Stars.

I think it went something along the lines of "as soon as you fight back, you get stacked even faster".

Feel like explaining this a bit? Do you think it's because he so aware of the flow of hands/matches and picks up very quickly on opponent's psychology?
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

something like that.

i might be wrong, but it seems like when you start getting in spew wars with him, it just increases variance, and since he has such sick hand reading you lose money faster. i dont know if that really explains it though.

BLD is arguably the best cash player in the world, but CTS is nipping at his heels and some of his results lately playing 5/10 and 10/20 on stars/ftp are just ridiculous. I'm talking like 10-15ptbb over tons of hands (dude plays like 5k hands a day) in pretty tough post legislation MSNL/HSNL games.

You really have a mancrush on Bld don't you?

CTS has been dominating in an unheard of fashion. I suppose a few other guys like Aba / Luckyulsa are probably going to be considered the best since they play the highest stakes and also boast impressive winrates. But I doubt either of them could do what CTS has been doing consistently.

Bld also is the type to play tons of tables and hands with a massive WR like CTS. Both guys are obviously sick. I don't think either of them are that much better than the other. Bld definitely has an edge HU, but CTS likely has an edge at 6 max. Whatever, it's like comparing apples and oranges anyways.

Didn't CTS try his hand at the highest stakes where aba and all reside and had to move down again after losing lots?

nono, you saying that bld is 'best cash in the world' was what i was questioning. hes not even top 5 online. also, CTS is really solid but you are overrating him for sure. if he was close to being as sick as you think then i doubt he would be playing on my 5/10 tables this past week.

brag: i hung out with cts in bahamas and hes supercool

He played the 200/400 game last night and got killed. He kept getting in preflop wars with a short stack and after losing AQ to his KQ and then losing his AK to short stacks KK he went on monkey tilt and finally got stacked and left when he opened the button to 1400 and bb called, flop was 7TQ w/2 spades, bb checked, cts pushed for ~$14k into a $3k pot w/K6ss and got called by 77. He hit flush but board paired the river.

Really you don't think Bld is top 5? I'm not too familliar with the nosebleed stakes players overall, but I'm assuming your top 5 is something like Fast Freddie, bad_ip, sbrugby, luckyulsa?

While I do agree to an extent that if he was super sick he would be playing higher, but it's not nessicarilly the truth IMO. Some people prefer to play lower than they probably should and just grind.

BTW didn't mean to come off as an ass with that last post.

And jack, that's not true. He is up a lot playing those games, but moved down to regain his insanity and get a low variance $2k an hour at 5/10 and 10/20
