This was a big hand last night. Villain was pretty new to the table so no real reads. I had been playing TAGG and using some of the skills and concepts i picked up from Bigspenda's videos and also Sauce123's 6 max strategy posts.

Be brutal, i need to know what i could have done better. Thinking back i think i could have represented the flush because i put him on high pocket pair in the end. I found out what he had later in the chat.

I think the preflop call is marginal. I'd definitely bet the flop harder if I decide to play, like 2/3 or 3/4. This is not even half the pot... If he calls and the Q comes (which helps his range, more then it hurts) I think I wouldn't bet the turn... because you're only beating AK.

I'm not sure what you mean by "could have represented the flush" - you bet both streets, so it was certainly part of the range you were representing. He was the one to push, remember, so if anyone's representing the flush, it's him. Or do you mean you could have pushed the flop or the turn? Bear in mind if he has AA or KK there is a 50% chance he's got the spade anyway, which will probably give him justification to call a push, so your fold equity is tiny, you're behind everything else in his range apart from AK no spades and AK one spade has 14 good outs.

Why you stacking off with a weak overpair? Villain's range is mostly overpairs and you don't beat any of them. Repping the flush would be ridonkulously bad here, it's 25NL and he has an overpair, he's never ever ever folding.

fold pre because playing OOP in a 3bet pot here sucks. As played youre never going to rep a flopped flush because no one will buy it. Also if youre going to take a stab at the pot make it a decent stab.

You are most likely up against a bigger pair or AK. If I don't hit my set on the flop I'm check/folding this hand.

Well I guess i said be brutal and you guys certainly are. So thanks.

Its better to hear the truth rather than someone trying to be nice and me not learning anything.

As I said in another post i guess i seem to overvalue and overpair too much?

Lets say it was a rainbow flop (6 8 4), how should i be looking at playing it?

I mean if i bet the flop 2/3 for example hes still calling with Aces (lets say he doesn't raise here)

What should i do on the turn? Check? and if he bets fold?

I used to be too passive and now i feel maybe im being like too agressive or dumb agressive.

Advice?

c/c flop, lead a blank turn is a decent line to use if the flops dry. 684r isnt the dryest of flops, but its not horrible either.

Aleeki - put your opponent on a range of hands as you're going into the flop, then, from that range, tell me what hands are calling your flop bet.
