Hand is obv. standard/fun.

I realized when someone mentioned to me recently that my betsizing in 3 bet pots was not good because I wasn't really thinking about the objective of the betting.

How is this?

3 bet pre is so big cuz of the 3 callers. Coulda went a little smaller on flop but guess it makes little difference here.

If I have AKd do I b/f flop smaller, same size or c/f?

wait, wat? 3bet is big? i'd raise it to 24 mininum. if 1 person is going to call 18, they won't call 24? ("any takers?" "all i need is one.")

i was just pointing out the reasoning for 3 bet size, not saying its too big, small etc..

Actually that's what I am asking.

3 bet bigger to deny set odds, pot is pretty big so you want to bump it up higher. 24-28 is good, if one person calls other people have really good odds to call with SC's on a small raise. So go higher, if this is incoherent I'm sorry, I'm drunk.
Flopping quads and boats like its my job

I think 20ish is good here. You don't want to bet too big unless you never squeeze light.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

vs unknowns 3betting more than 20 is overkill. flop and turn is fine

I don't entirely agree, simply because 3betting to more than 20ish looks bluffy like you're stealing.

The last thing you want is to make your 3bet too small, have UTG call you which leads to a big calling parade after him. I feel like we'd rather put anyone that wants to play in a fold or shove kind of spot.

I'm actually surprised that UTG called here AND that nobody ended up calling behind him.
