Anyways, I was thinking about this hand and I am happy with my turn bet but the river bet was kinda iffy. From what Ive seen villain likes to raise 6xBB preflop and will sometimes bet on the flop or check and then way overbet on the turn..never a small bet from him. With him calling me down, I figured I could at least get a decent pot out of him. However, I realized the cost of this mistake because when he actually called my river bet I got more than a little nervous and I almost knew he was about to flip over some stupidass 2pair. I dont really think this is a good bet in the long run but that I just got lucky he was a moron. I have no idea why in the hell he played his QQ like that after all his huge betting in other hands.

I like the play but the river bet is a bit much. I'd probably bet another $25 or $30 there. I'd even be willing to check there, but if hes aggressive he'll bet big after you check, which gives you a tough decision. So a smaller bet is probably wise.

Yeah, this is a situation where I sometimes try to throw out a "blocking bet" on the river. A bet that is just big enough that it doesn't scream weakness and hopefully will be just called. Its a tough situation though. If the villian is good he'll correctly read weakness and come over top of you.

Yeah i think a bet of 30-40 dollars would be more appropriate on the river.

what some of the previous posters seem to have missed is that u had pos on him, so u coulda checked it down for free at the river.

Besides that I agree with em that the bet seemed to be way overdone, only thing I would call with as him would be two pair and above, that he calls u down with second pair is just moronic, but good for u though =D

I could be wrong though, im no shorthanded specialist.

Nice hand though!!

I would have checked the river here, making me $76.00 dumber than you. Nice hand.
