Since party closed to US players I'm still just looking around for a new place to play....Would any here care to reccommend a new site??...I usually play 25 nl up to 100nl 6 max...but I'll switch to full ring games if any here say they are more profitable on any paticular site..TIA...mike

Pokerroom > Ultimate Bet > Full Tilt

my opinion...I prefer Ultimate simply because the software is tons better and a whole lot faster than Pokerroom, but i havent played worse players than at Pokerroom...including party - okay, maybe thats extreme

I'd spend more time working on your game instead of looking for "fishier" rooms if you're having trouble beating $100 6-max or lower.

Aye.

Nobody has said Stars? Those games are just as good as Party's were.

I found the stars games even at 50 and 100NL as rock ass tight. Maybe one hand saw a turn every orbit.

I jumped back to UB, and my life has been much happier. Also, the software isn't slow as fuck, and frustrating as fuck like stars (multitabling and having to click 3+ times on a button to get it to do anything gets annoying quick).

Ive heard good things about FT, but never deposited.
<Staxalax> Honestly, #flopturnriver is the one thing that has improved my game the most.

i've been playin at the prima tables because i had a bonus to clear. i can't say what the level of play is relative to other sites, because i've only played NL ring at prima.

i keep running into the same mt tags, so i usually end up spending more time table selecting than actually playing...which kinda sucks (i think fnord once mentioned some of the fishiest players have tag stats...does anyone have linky?). competition isn't too bad, probably 10/35/35/10 ratio for fish/lag/tap/tag.

anyways, i just logged onto stars and party for the first time in LONG time, and i'm surprised that stars has double the amount of 0.50/1.00 players. they can't ALL be tags!

lol a whole thread without bodog being mentioned.

Fwiw, if you arent rolled for 200nl you should probably be bonsu whoring or be playing at a site with good a rb deal imo.
When you become rolled for 200nl i think FT, bodog or Stars are the only places where youll find enough 200l action (pretty sure these all still take US customers)

fwiw, prima 200nl is much softer than its 100nl games.
Id admit stars games have improved, but they arent even close to being fishy compared to some sites, but are probably the bets choice to just down and 9 table grind.

I agree for the most part, but starting this month I've noticed that game selection is now important at 1/2 as well. In fact 1/2 is like the new 2/4. The FTP 1/2 game has a lot of regulars (most aren't anything special, but a table full of them isn't the most profitable game either), and 2/4 is filled with a lot of 3/6 and 5/10 players who took a large portion of their roll offline due to recentl legislation.

I'd say UB is a good site to play on, lots of hands per hour, opponents are pretty donkish and overaggro. I'm not a huge fan of the overall look of UB but it's tolerable. I really miss Party though.

Yeah, I just played from 11pm-3am central time on Stars, mostly four tabling...It was pretty freaking tight, and I jumped around a lot to try to find good tables. (small sample size, I know)

Nothing like the old Party games.

P.S. I was playing NL100.

Yeah - what's up with that? I thought it was my crappy mouse or something. I dunno what Stars has that creates such loyalty among the FTR userbase but it certainly isn't its ease of use.

(and while I'm at it, it sucks to be typing in Aim or something and for a Stars table to pop up and whatever you're typing to suddenly appear in the chatbox. Can be rather embarrassing)

On a sidenote, I've noticed that the Full Tilt 6 max games (nl400 specifically) have really tightenened up. At least in my past few sessions. Hopefully this is just because the good players switch from Party quicker than the fish.
Family Cruise IMO

The funny thing is since you US guys have left Party the 25nl tables are even fishier (yes, true!). European players seem to be more aggressive and are happy to call down mid pairs, re-raise suited crap. It really is a case of make sets and get paid at the moment. Me likey.

I've been running quite well lately (minus a few bad beats).

Maybe it's just because I have played on it so much, but I love stars. I think it has the best software of any site, and it's not really close IMO.

Also about having to click a table multiple times to get it to work (only the case if the table you're clicking on isn't active--when it's your turn it automatically becomes active-- just get good at right clicking immediately before left clicking instead of being all goofy and changing to single click option or whatever (which is very interesting but I only heard of just now).

Some of the pre-flop calls were loose, but I felt I had good control over my opponents.

Anyone else played much on the iPoker network? It's just almost laughable.

Very loose-passive.

Of course the software sucks and it's a bit tooo turbo even on the non-turbo tables (sorry, it auto-folded my flopped straight while I was sizing my bet... garf!).
Blah blah Op Blah blah

I'm still loyal to prima. I can comfortably play the 10NL/20NL/50NL tables there (depending on my BR). The recent software upgrade (or maybe not so recent, hadn't played in quite a while.. but now the bank account demanded it) was an improvement too.

I have to note though that the only other site I played at was titan, which software-wise sucked (played for the free poker office.. never even bothered to clear the actual bonus). And everyone there is weak-tight, which is just as easily beatable as prima's loose tables, but requires a different approach.

This is all 6max. I've never in my life played FR.
