So I should throw out the pot? The plan was to c/r to $12 or something so I could get close to stacking him.

Against an unknown I would just bet a little less than pot on every street and settle for a mediumish pot. It's a scary, draw heavy board and we have no reason to think he's aggro enough to bet draws and lukewarm hands when checked to.
I make this mistake a lot too, for what it's worth.

BET TURN BET TURN BET TURN BET TURN BET TURN BET TURN BET TURN.
DON'T SLOWPLAY IN LIMPED POTS.
sorry for the caps i just want to try to beat this into your head.
As played i think it's really close. If you've seen him raise two pair on the flop before, it's an easy call. Otherwise i don't mind a fold, even though the opponent would have to be pretty dumb to have no bet or raised two pair at any time during this hand...
actually screw it i think you have to call no matter what.

Cheers for the responses guys, I've been on a Negreanu/High Stakes Poker type run of recent and big pots have been killing me, and I needed to check that I wasn't stacking off unnecessarily.
@ Massimo, turn was a failed c/r. Thanks for the turn play pointer, Fnord/Sauce.
For the results oriented, I called and he flipped 99 and I noted him up and cried myself to sleep.

You have the nuts on the turn. I rather bet then going for check/raises. Leave that for big draws IMO.

Bet Turn. Call River. I doubt he has the flush, so really you are only beaten by a boat and he may think he has the nuts with a K... if its a boat or higher flush reload and move on, im never folding this
