Hey guys--
My 1st post to FTR though I've read on a regular basis for almost two years now. Sorry no hand converter yet. Initially I'd built my BR up and was playing a lot of HU NL100, but needed to take my entire roll out to pay some medical bills so I'm starting back over at the low, low limits.

25NL Hold 'em that allows 50 dollar buy-in. I'm in the BB, first 10 hands or so, no reads, I have (49.50), have raised maybe one hand that everyone folded around PF

I'm dealt (Qs,Qc) in the BB.
SB completes.
I raise to (1.50)
SB goes all-in (~50.oo)

????--i know the crazies at this level, and my inital reaction thinking was AK. Thoughts?

Fold.

You're risking 48 to win 51.50.
You have to be pretty damn sure and you aren't , because villain could very well have KK/AA and even if he has AK, it's a coinflip. Easy fold.

It's interesting when you have KK.

Hmn, there's more to this than meets the eye.

What % of the time does Villain have to have AA/KK to make calling -EV?

I thought it might be one of those cases I see at these limits---the old "You're not going to raise my SB buddy if I want to limp in." If you had KK or AA in the SB would any of you play it this way---both the PF call then the RR All-in?

I called (way too fast in my opinion) and he flipped over AA. Board was no help. It just seemed like a raise that didn't want to see a flop that badly. The only hands I could imagine were AK and JJ, maybe even TT. But looking back, maybe it was a clear fold after all. Oh well.

Don't be results oriented.

This is important:

"What % of the time does Villain have to have AA/KK to make calling -EV?"

Can someone who knows their maths answer this?
