Villain is SuckMyAce, a very solid 22/20 type. I'm TAG. Preflop/flop OK? What now on turn?

I can't see other options than calling turn and also calling the river. If he checks to me on river i make a valuebet. Do u guys have any history in 3-bets pot?

Andypandy: "Preflop??"

Not that I can think of; we stay out of each other's way.

Is it pretty much a given that he would three bet semi light at these stakes? Cause if he hadn't been 3 betting me very much I might just fold pre as weak as that sounds.

fold preflop is VERY standard. put's u in spots like this, and thi sisnt even that tough of a spot since villain can only have AK/45/22/33 to beat u, and 22/33 are not in his 3betting range.

if u called preflop it means u called cuz u felt your hand was either ahead or that u would be good if u hit a pair .. so u cant fold now that you hit top pair in a 3bet pot, that's insane

if i call pre and flop id keep calling down. sometimes i'll raise flop small or 4bet-call pre..but i think folding is a bit weak vs a "solid 22/20" in co vs blind.

his bet doesn't look like he turned the flush draw - more like pushing you off of non-ace stuff, or value...but some value is with weaker aces.

calling pre is a huge leak. if you feel you are ahead, 4bet and get it in for value.

i chat w/ viillain on a daily basis so knowing him, he has AA, AK, AQ, or 45 here pretty much every time on this turn. he knows he doesn't have to balance his range vs 2/4 players so bluffs are unlikely

why is calling pre a leak? lots of tags auto 3-bet me w/ AT+, occasionally any Axs...not to mention random SCs high cards.

Gotta call BS on this. Even though we're ahead of his 3-bet range (and CO vs BB against a non-nit I'd say we are) it's not a given we're ahead of his 4-bet calling/5-bet range.

Probably just flat the turn and let him bluff/vb the river.

Calling pre is a leak since Dean is a nit. If villain is good he's 3ballin with AJ stuff but he's sooo not wanting to get it in with just a pair vs this nit who just can't show up with anything other than the nuts.

I don't like the call pre either unless villain is a VERY light 3better. Playing 3bet pots without confidence is the problem. Is he really gonna stack off here with worse?

if u r calling preflop, it means u think u are ahead, if u think u are ahead ... 4bet.

times i would consider just calling:

when deep, suited and in position.
when i think he is capable of 3betting light but not 5betting/calling a 4bet all in w/ worse. -- plus im going to have a plan when i am calling ... plan would be to pretty much jam over a lot of flops.

i might be wrong, but i bet Dean's opening enough that a decent tag is 3-betting quite a bit with <AQ...unless there's some other read/dynamic going on at least.

and yea, i'd blast the c-bets on most low flops and some others. not enough ppl make light 5-bets, but plenty think they "have to c-bet."
