I think you are really only losing to AA/KK/QQ and none of these seem likely.

Besides, if villian has a 9 you would be too ashamed to post it.

Villain had a nine, and his turn check does make sense because he had Q9.

Before I though man I should fold this...but then I thought "nah he has a Q most of the time and we split."

Definitely a horrible call in hindsight.
