Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Button ($193.75)
Hero ($177.25)
BB ($347.35)
UTG ($0)
MP ($508.34)
CO ($268.22)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T, T. Hero posts a blind of $1.
MP calls $2, CO raises to $6, Button calls $6, Hero (poster) calls $5, BB calls $4, MP calls $4.

Flop: ($30) 5, 9, 3 (6 players)
Hero bets $20, BB folds, MP folds, CO folds, Button calls $20.

Turn: ($70) 3 (3 players)
Hero bets $50, Button calls $50.

River: ($170) 2 (3 players)
Hero bets $101.25 (All-In)

No reads on the villain as he had just sat down and I hadn't played with him before. I did know that the pf raiser makes cbets and most likely would not raise my flop bet without an overpair, so I thought leading out on the flop was the best way to define my hand/find out where I'm at.

Thoughts? Standard? Check the river?

Strange hand, I think he was calling with the flush draw, but I would check/call the river most of the time here. Not many better hands call here and you give a busted flush draw a shot to bluff at the pot.

 i prefer a check raise here, rather than opening the pot. I give opp chance to put money in pot probably with nothing and if TT no good here and being called down by a bigger pp it lets me know about it

Results: He had QQ and took it down.

I probably should have checked the river to induced a bluff, but I felt there was a good chance that if he'd been calling me down with a 9 he'd be obliged to call because of the pot size. A c/r on the flop might have been a slightly better line, but then if I'm called then I'm OOP on the turn in a big pot and I still don't know where I am. I think I was just destined to go broke on this hand with the flush draw out there and villain playing his ladies passively.

not often ill disagree with you but i will here.
I think there is ample oppertunity not to go broke across two streets here. After all you called a preflop raise with TT found an undercard board and *if* you bet hard through two streets OR check raise and bet the turn hard and still get called through two streets the you have to admit or figure TT is no good. Yes, i agree id play this aggressivly on the flop and bet hard into the turn but if youve been called thropugh two heavy betting streets then maybe its time to put opp on JJ or better. Against an aggressive player oop this is how i would play my hand especially as i cant see you playting a set so fast (mind you i wouldnt play all overpairs like thsi for that reason!)
I dont think you need to go broke here, but ido think its a losing situation you cant avoid. I dont like to go broke when i can 'learn' my hand is no good.
