Poker is awful to me. Just say "Hello cooler" and push here?
I have had an unbelievably AWFUL run the past few weeks. So I just want to make sure I shouldn't fold here (maybe some of this badness is my fault?). Please tell me it's reverse tilt that made me want to check/fold this.
This guy's a 33/14. He's a regular, but a bad one. He's kinda like a tourney donk that plays like it's an SnG or something (overvalues top pair etc.)
Texas Hold'em $1-$1 NL (Real Money), #538,933,237
Table TKK187's HE, 3 Jul 2007 1:21 AM ET
Seat 1: jh0ns0n7 ($125.75 in chips)
Seat 5: Jeppe78 ($251 in chips)
Seat 6: MrChowderboy ($375.70 in chips)
Seat 7: Galapogos [ A ,Q ] ($124 in chips)
Seat 8: CGBSpender82 ($43.50 in chips)
Seat 9: Zramble ($57.10 in chips)
Antes/Blinds
MrChowderboy posts blind ($0.50), Galapogos posts blind ($1).
Pre-Flop
CGBSpender82 folds, Zramble folds, jh0ns0n7 folds, Jeppe78 bets $4, MrChowderboy folds, Galapogos bets $13, Jeppe78 calls $10.
Flop [board cards A ,Q ,3 ]
Galapogos bets $20, Jeppe78 calls $20.
Turn [board cards A ,Q ,3 ,K ]
Galapogos ?

yeah i dont know, i might consider check/calling here, or maybe bet/fold to a reraise. I think your considering check/folding this is probably reverse tilt. Being OOP on this one really sucks. I think i may have just called his preflop raise instead of repoping it.
If it was this easy to bluff you, anytime a scary flop came out, all i would have to do is call your cbet, and then you would fall over and die on the turn and i could take the pot. I think i bet/fold to a reraise. If hes got the spades meh run better

Horrible turn card. I'd prefer to bet this myself and fold to a reraise. I'd just make it enough to stop him drawing. If he has the Ks he's unlikely to fold anyway and you don't want this pot getting out of control.

I think you should just bet again and call a shove. A c/p might be sexy.
I just don't lay down this hand.

Hero GET YOUR MONEY IN THE POT NOW plz and spike a on the river for the love of god. Puke since villain has KsKx (um lol no)
srsly though plz put villain on a hand besides a flopped flush and AA (!!! yay coolers!) that doesn't 4 bet preflop (which a tourney donk would do I presume with KK) and is leading on this flop... and doesn't raise.

when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I actually wasn't too worried about AA or KK from this guy, I believe he would have pushed those preflop. The range I put him on was somewhere around AT+, KT+, any PP, maybe even a few SC hands. His flop call definatelly narrows his range though so now I was fearing a much tighter range than that.
The line I went with was check to him, if he checks behind value bet the river. If he raised push. He bet $30, I pushed, and apparently J8ss is good.
Was my turn play awful?

i dont like ur turn play because most draws check behind. I think your giving this guy too tight a calling range pre (which is shown by what he played, but to my defense I thought that before hand).

Now I would give him a wider range but there's no way I can assume he's calling with crap like J8. What's your turn play? b/f or b/c?

bet-call. maybe c/f or b/f vs a standard tag type.
i think not felting this is way weak given the description of villain.

I was thinking the same as Massimo here... I often check/bomb this turn.
A turn lead is ok too, but I'm definitely never pressing fold anywhere here. Maybe if he was a supernit, and he pushed over a turn lead, but even then I would find it hard.

This is probably pointing out the obvious, but if he's calling re-raises pre-flop with weak hands like that one, and then check-folding when he misses the flop and stacking off with top pair type hands. Then you're going to be ridiculously +EV against him in the long run if you never fold good hands in re-raised pots. I wouldn't let it bother you that you got stacked here.

Oh yeah, no doubt this guy pads the BR. I just felt I should get away from this. It seems whenever I play a big pot on a mono-tone board someome has flopped the flush. But I think that's semi-tilt reasoning.
