I like it too, think you got your money in with the best hand. Not to be results oriented but did you get three outered on the river?

he turned over 64c for turned 2pair. I think he probably still bets the turn w/out 2pair because this looks a lot like a missed cbet/

Yeah, if he called the flop bet he would bet when checked to on turn even without making two pair.

i doubt he bets turn without the two pair or flush because he didnt raise the flop with his monster draw

I don't like going AI with TPTK...I see this same advice all over FTR. Do you have a read that makes this a good decision?

y not, are u just repeating what you hear everyone else say? I normally don't go ai with Tptk either, but i think that there is a time and a place for it. I beat a lot of hands that call my flop bet, and i lose to only a few, namely A4, AJ, JJ, 44. All the hands that i beat are weaker aces and flush draws. On the turn, if i bet again and he smooth calls, i still wont know where i stand and could get bet off of the best hand on the river by a busted draw or weaker ace.
I can check and allow weaker hands to bet into me, and then they may have too much committed at that point to fold to my push. Those were my thoughts on the hand.

Yes and No. I'm trying to understand when the time and place is to make that move. I do it when I have a read that the opp is a maniac or extremely loose and may have anything, but mostly won't have me beat. But I see it repeated so often not to do it, I was trying to figure out why it should be done. That's why I asked about a read...not a critique, just trying to understand. Personally, I've stacked off with it too much for that move to be +EV...but that isn't necessarily the case with other, better players.

*Edit: Thanks for explaining your reasoning.
