villain is 22/20/4 over about 200 hands here and there. i know hes not lag, but hes at teh end of the tag spectrum. no specific reads. given how connected this board is this still auto stack? or is it more of a reason to stack, since there are lots of pair +gut shots he could do this with, plus possible flush draws.

If you make it a bigger raise, like to 75, your spr will be around 4 instead of around 7 which would make committing your stack much more profitable against his range.

spr = stack to pot ratio. Read the book, "Professional No-Limit Holdem Volume 1" if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Make it 75 pre instead of 54. Since you are almost 200 bbs deep, making a larger pot pre will make it more prfitable to commit with a hand like AK if it hits (which it did).

The main problem with creating an easierstackoff SPR if that their preflop continuing range will be stronger.

1) I usually don't change around my rr size against regs

2) a 7 spr on the flop is probably fine for AK against a player who is this aggressive.

I do if stacks are 150bb+ but that's because I don't have the discipline to lay down overpairs or tptk in 3bet pots.

I find SPR mainly applies versus non-thinking players, against a good reg a huge 3 bet size will make his calling range much narrower.
