6max 100nl
effective stacks are 110 bb
Villian was 57/52/5 over only 100 hands
He bluffed often every street including the river. Thats why I just called preflop.
Preflop:
Dealt to Hero A K (button)
Villian raises 3.50$,everybody folds, Hero calls,sb and bb folds
*** FLOP *** [J 9 7 ] Pot: 8.5$
Villian bets 5$, Hero ???
I have an additional question: Is it okay to just call with AK preflop versus an average villian from time to time for deception value?

How loose is he post-flop?
Does he fold to resistance?
If you raise the flop, is he going to make you fire a turn bet before folding his whatever?

When there is a guy at the table giving that much action, figure out his post-flop game ASAP. Confrontation is inevitable if he doesn't bust out first. That's where the real money comes from. You and the other wanna-be-TAggs are fighting for pocket change compared to the value this guy could be worth.

You're usually best to wait until you have the goods to play back at a guy like this, but you also can't let him push you around. His bet sizes/betting patterns are usually the best tell. His $5 into an $8.50 pot looks a lot like a c-bet here, and if he tends to make near pot-sized bets when he actually does have a hand (a lot of these guys do) I'd probably raise here, but without that read I'm done.

Warpe,
A lot of these guys are too retarded to fold to any single act of aggression on a cheap street. I expect to have to fire a second barrel. I see so many TAggs go stupid ape-shit-aggro with AK and stack off to one pair here.
You played it cheap, you didn't get there, your position sucks, fold.

You read my post, right?
Sans reads otherwise, fold.
That said, against a 57/52, if I don't have the reads I need I'm going to try to get some by testing him a little.

Not 3 betting preflop against a 57/52 with AK is a crime, you are so far ahead of his range. But I suppose if he is THAT bad calling preflop can be acceptable. If you're going to just call I would fold the flop, especially if he double barrells a lot. It really also could have hit him very easily. On a 662 flop where AK is likely good you might call down, but here it's likely he has at least some kind of gutshot / pair and all we have are overcards which might not be good. Raise or fold the flop, probably folding is the best option.
