Villain seemed donkish, hadn't been at the table long but was running something like 60/12/1.50 and liked to make smallish bets with not much. When he called my turn raise I pegged him on KJ/KQ. Is this an insta-call?

Cryptologic - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $51.85
BB: $53.20
UTG: $54.30
Hero (CO): $69.70
BTN: $88.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt A K (5 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $2.00, BTN calls $2.00, SB folds, BB calls $1.50

Flop: ($6.25) 4 K 9 (3 Players)
BB bets $3.00, Hero calls $3.00, BTN folds

Turn: ($12.25) T (2 Players)
BB bets $3.00, Hero raises to $11.00, BB calls $8.00

River: ($34.25) 5 (2 Players)
BB bets $14.00, Hero insta-calls?
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Preflop: Standard
Flop: I raise the flop to like 8.50 ~9ish.
Turn: I guess this is fine with how you played the flop.
River: Call the river. Your getting great odds, and your likely ahead in this spot anyway.

I do, give him a NH for his K 10. I'd raise him on the flop 2.

definitely instacall. but you should be raising all streets. i would even consider raising the river as played, but would just call as played.

you should be raising the flop! calling is a big mistake. you want value from Kx. he will stack off here with K2 and will lose quite a big pot with 9x. you need to bet, bet, bet.

Ding ding ding, lol. Gotta love guys who overcall a raise with K5 offsuit in a 3way pot. Fortunately I didn't tilt much, even though he started to bluff any scare card on the river against almost anyone.

Raising the flop would be the standard play, but I wanted him to keep betting whatever it was he had and not scare him off. With a board that uncoordinated there aren't many cards than can hurt me immediately on the turn.

Anyways, as for content.. Will most players take a line like this villain did with a hand like KQ/KJ or maybe even T9? This isn't likely a bluff since there were really no draws to miss (unless somehow he had diamonds), and I raised strongly on the turn indicating that I had a strong hand.
