He has what 9 outs to the flush 4 outs to the straight draw. Then his runner runner 9s count as 1/2 out.

13 1/2 I think its more about 52 48

yea he is 48% on the flop, which combined with any folding equity makes this play +EV, although in this case he had no folding equity.

I know Renton's reraising range is verrrrrry wide here when I open on the button, so calling preflop with 99 there is standard. That was like, the best flop I could ask for besides one containing a nine. So yeah, I was pretty happy to get my chips in there.

That was actually one of the first times I've played 2/4 as I'm moving up now. The game plays quite a bit different than 1/2, which I was expecting. Should be an interesting transition for sure. I'm pretty decent about game selection as is, but it looks like I'll actually have to try harder at it now and keep buddy lists as well as using Sixth Sense.

And did I say SHIPPPPPPPPIT yet?

No guys, Renton was correct. He is a 56/44 favorite about. I do have an OESFD draw but he has redraws to a boat which hurts my percentages quite a bit.

Yeah I'm in pretty bad shape against any overpair that has a club in it, especially QcQx.

This makes sense in context of the game and level.

However, how do you play when the flop isn't so good and Renton is pulling a huge loggie cbet out of his ass?

Depends on a lot of things. I'm definitely not felting on a 6 high flop, but I'll likely call one bet especially with position. On a lot of flops he is probably going to just going to bet and take it down unless I was in the mood to float him or something, and I'm not going to do that kind of stuff without a read at this point.

Choose better tables.

Other than that: nhs.

I don't know if that 99 preflop call is +EV btw.

I think it definitely is +EV. I'm getting about 10-1 in implied odds with a hand that could easily be the best hand since hands like AJ and KQ are in his range to reraise. I don't think that his reraising range is strictly AK/JJ+ or something, especially with me being on the button. I also don't think he is ever getting away from an overpair there if I flop a set, and unless he is going to two barrell in a reraised pot there I get to show down 99 as the best hand a fair amount, too.
