Haven't been at the table long, I stacked a guy with a flopped flush. Villain in this hand has been pretty aggressive. Only hand we played, I raised from EP and he called in the BB and bet $15 into a $14.50 pot on a Ax7h8h flop. I folded and he showed KTo. I have folded to a couple of his pf raises from the SB since then so I am assuming he views me as weak tight.

Table has started to break up and we are down to 3 handed.
Stacks:
Me $360
Villain $580

I raise to $7 from the button with 99. SB folds and Villain calls.

Flop (Pot is $14.5): 623

He bets $15, I raise to $40. He calls.

Turn (Pot is $94.5): 3

He shoves (effectively betting about $310 into a $100 pot).

i dont think id fold an overpair here. it just seems to much like a bluff....even if hes 3rd leveling us and he has a boat sometimes hes going to have a worse hand more than enough to call. of course the pot odds arent that great but overpair against aggro donk making overbets should be good.

I think 99 is close... what if you had 88 or 77? still call? I guess 99 is g00t here because he probably rr's TT+ pre-flop.

It's a pretty good play by villian - you would have to fold AK here. I wonder if villian has 44 or 55 here

At the time it really felt like a bluff to me, as I couldnt think of any hand that beats me that he plays this way. I thought if he did have me beat he would probably CR rather than just open shove. I couldn't pull the trigger though and folded, he showed me the hammer.

This kind of spot is very difficult if you dont know what level your opponent is on, against a very tricky player who thinks i would perceive this line as 'n bluff and who knows I might be tired of getting pushed around i can see him doing it with a monster. I thought i was getting thirdleveled so i folded, turns out i was outthinking myself.

Renton will become famous soon enough
is raising the flop standard here? I find my self often just calling, especially considering depth of stacks
