Does anyone know of any good resources which discuss how strategy should be adjusted for the number of people playing? This seems like a big gap in the standard poker literature and tutorials.

For instance, most starting hand guides are intended for 10 players. How would you adjust for 8 players at the table? 6 players, etc? what about heads up?

Obviously it seems like you want to play more starting hands the fewer players there are at the table. One could use a chart (like the sklansky groups) and simply play less highly ranked groups of cards as there are fewer players at the table, but I'm also wondering if some hands become higher in value in relation to others when there are fewer players? (for instance are suited connectors stronger against fewer players and therefore their position on the chart would change for a 4 player game)?

Also in regard to post flop play, it seems like the more players there are the higher the winning hand usually is. For instance a low pair can often win playing heads up, but with 10 players someone usually has at least 2 pair.

I'm looking for a recommendation on a resource where this has been addressed. Thanks for your help.
