Well of course now that I see the turn I advocate reraising the flop. But it's so tempting to just call with the ... well, third nuts but very good third nuts.

Villain's turn bet kinda looks like a boat to me -- taking away the SF's drawing ods ?!?! lol

I destack here. Boat wants 4 flush contestant to hang around. Boat bets less on turn or checks behind. I put villain on JxKd.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

generally i would agree with this idea. BUT, here button has 250BBs and gabe's stack isn't too shabby either. so i could see him playing a boat a little faster like that. if villain really does have boat and can put gabe on a flush, then it might be worth a shot. gabe probably is not perceived to be a weak passive player, so against him it's probably good strat to play big hands a little faster. however, i could also see him betting the Jd like that, too on a semibluff.

i am hoping he had JJ w/. the Jd here.

gabe please don't tell me he had KJd. that is a goddamn tough spot, hope you came out okay either way you decided to play it.
In answer to your question... it depends...

Interesting hand, I don't think a boat plays it that fast on the turn so I'd push here I think.

Gabe, I was reading your blog and two hands kind of confused me, care to explain your thinking?

You must have had a really good read on him that he was a total gambling donkey, since I'm assuming you know that three-betting with ATo is usually not a great play. Just trying to pick your brain a little bit.

Also, if you have AIM I would like to talk to you some. I've been reading your blog and saw that you have been limit jumping in the shorthanded NL games on PP the past few months, something I'm striving to do but with moderate success. My aim is alaskandevil81, so get a hold of me when you get a minute.
