I seem to be missing loads of hhs from last night, so I'm putting this up from memory.

table has been passive for the most part pf, there was a deepstacked fish so everyone was just seeing flops and hoping to stack him.

villain in this hand might think i'm a bit of a donk for a hand against the fish, I raised k6s from the co, flop 66a, i bet, fish mr, I 3bet, turned a fd and open shoved for 100ish, and he snapped called with aq. berated me for a while for shoving with a fd etc etc. lol.

there's no history between us, first time he's 3bet me i think, or at least the first time I've called one. he's tight so it's not light. he's agf stats were just over 2.5 I think.

just as a btw, I was talking to one of the regs in the chat and said I was moving table at the end of the last hand. (fish has just been busted, everyone elses stats are red)

5 handed.

I've 276.
he covers.

A A

I make it 4 utg, he raises to 11 next to act. Everyone folds and I just call.

Flop ~ (23)

10 3 4

check, he bets 15, I call.

Turn ~ (53)

7

i lead for 46, he thinks, and calls.

River ~ (145)

j

poor card, but I bet 100.

ok?

I think he's 3betting aq+ jj+, i thought about 4betting but it's not like there's been any action pf between us so he's gonna put me squarely on aa/kk and I don't wanna give any my hand deep and oop. plus I'll fold out ak/aq.

should i just go for a 4bet? flop raise?

If you think he's going to be that tight to fourbets I'd start fourbetting light earlier, as soon as you realize he's that tight pre.

You just can't not fourbet pre here, it's just way too ewww. Fourbet to a number where he thinks he'll be able to call with a pp even though it's not the case.

You really need to 4-bet this preflop if you're this deep. I probably bet less on the river as played, maybe $80? Maybe I'm a nit? I would just really feel gross if he pushed and I had so much in. Are you folding to a push here?

Also don't get tricky with this line. Yeah we're trying to extract value but even if the guy is drawing to two outs your fucked. Implied here is so ridiculous you have to go pot pot pot.

imo, i would lead into him on the flop or at least re-raise him that way u know better where u stand... also, depending on player, 4-bet him pre flop, he wont fold AK,QQ+ for that (which he most likely hold right) and you know where u are better. if he has 99- he just smooth call..most time. so what he had hehe ? jj ? ? backdoor aks ? can have anything right ? hehe, nvm i think u def should raise that flop to at least 274. if he calls ur beat.

sounds like you lost the hand so villain had TT, JJ or AK/AQss

Unless you had a really good reason for check-call, I'd go for a CR or a bet-3bet on this flop (you won't get many better flops for AA deepstacked).

As played I'd rather check the turn and probably CR. Leading allows him to build the pot in position when lots of shitty cards can hit the river.

I think a bet-fold line with a smaller lead is good for this river.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

You still need to fourbet.

This hand I think reveals a bigger leak in your game: You're trying to make money rather than play well. IMO that's a form of tilt.

If I'm making too much out of this then just nvm lol.

But if he never threebets he could well have KK here and be forced to stack off pre!

Yea dunno if it applies here muhc but i klike this point, u cant be super safe all time. If you want to be u'll stop chasing +EV draws just cos u need to invesst or gamble a little, also if u dont raise that flop u give free cards, maybe he was just asking u if his jacks are good or if u have AK too...

btw did he have 56 ? lol wonder what he had....

When you're this deep you need to be MORE inclined to re-raise.

Yeah I 4 bet pre.
As played I raise the flop.
Turn seems fine to me.
As played I just check call river, I think you're too pot commited to bet fold
& it only gets value out of KK or QQ really. (Don't know if that's optimal/true though.)

You absolutely have to 4-bet this pre and 4-bet it big.
