Your hand is good enough to be raising for value pre to isolate limper. This is an absolute dream flop which i would lead and c/r as played and not fold at any point.

Any reason we shouldn't be at these stakes?

I check preflop. No need to isolate the poster when we are already HU, hand is not strong enough to juice the pot unneccessary (that can't be the correct spelling, can it? three double consonants in one word?) OOP, and we can probably steal it just as easy if not easier with a lead on any flop.
I probably bet/call flop and c/r any (or perhaps not a 9?) turn, check/calling river if he checks turn behind.

Because even at "these stakes" u're probably going to be a marginal favourite at best against villains shove/calling range (assuming he isn't bluffing a large % of the time). U have no reads apart from that villain posted OOP, and u have 2nd pair and an 8 high flush draw, plus u've so far invested 1bb in the pot. Why go batshit mental here, unless u love looking at super swingy poker graphs? I realise that probably makes me sound like nitty mcnit the nit king, but whatever.
I like Halvsame's line FWIW (and u were very nearly right with 'unnecessary', there's only 1 c )

i'm pretty sure it's unnecessary (one c), still the grammar doesn't seem correct. lol.
Anyways, i've argued with a msnl friend about this for a while. Both he (600NL) and his girlfriend (50NL and 100NL [he taught her how to play]) raise sc 87s+ from the blinds with limpers and over a very large sample it is profitable for them. I'd think that especially when someone is posting, this is going to be much more profitable.

i would raise pre...with around 2/3 of hands. as played, i am c/r'ing the flop smallish, and evaluating if he 3 bets (rarely shoving)
b-3b or c/r-shove is such spew there vs a passive player imo.

I like checking preflop in the blinds. SCs in the blinds to me are good for hitting a flop and then building it as opposed to raising out of position.
That flop is money, easy raise there.

the poster will fold a ton of the time to a pfr, but he'll flop a pair or draw around 2/5 times, which will suck to be oop against.
i'd rather scoop the blinds or get some info on his hand...winning lot of small pots is the shit.
are you guys who check also limping the sb vs the bb with everything but like AQ/TT+?
