opp was 3betting me a good amount. basically he was abit of a nightmare in some small hands but now ive a semi decent hand.

I need serious help here

$1/$2 No Limit Holdem
5 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG trinoo ($324.17)
CO zaino ($317.05)
BTN Lumpsucker ($47.55)
SB Hero ($273.50)
BB ace662 ($240.55)

Pre-flop: ($3, 5 players) Hero is SB
3 folds, Hero raises to $7, ace662 raises to $22, Hero calls $15

Flop: ($44, 2 players)
Hero checks, ace662 bets $22, Hero raises to $56, ace662 raises to $212, $156 to Hero ($195.5)?

I like your play and I'd call the shove. It's hard to believe the kinds of hands people get it in with in this spot heads-up. If he 3-bet light with any four he's shoving here.

I don't think 4-betting and getting it in preflop is bad.
Edit: It's 120 BB so yeah it's probably bad.

Depends on opp and my image. I might c/f, c/c one more or in rare cases c/c two more.

His bet sizing really looks like he wanted to give himself fold equity on a 3-bet shove.

if you c/r here it would have to be because he was stacking off with worse. Clearly you don't think thats the case

or leaving the table is also valid

Genitruc is an unknown quantity at this point
this has probably already been said but if you're raising you should be calling a shove. Raising to "protect" sucks but raising if you think he's spazzy and will shove AJ or 55 or some shit is great.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

what's his range? What's his range to call a 4-bet/5-bet?
if you don't know, then maybe find a new table.

I end up with loads of notes on 3-bet holdings and 3-bet fold frequencies against that type of player! I see what you mean about staying at the table, I'm used to full ring where I'll find out soon enough on one or other of the tables without having to concede position in the interim...

i didnt vote to 4bet him since; we are 120bb deep, his 3bet size is smaller than usual for these levels, he is a good player who may or may not know the first time i 4bet is usually a bluff and since it BvB i wasnt mad about 4 betting. so i opted to call but also play back depending on flop.

On flop i didnt know what to do tbh. i felt that being OOP vs a good opp on a board where he can barrel me off tons of my floating hands it was better to just try take a stab at the pot by c/r'ing. i did fold to his shove i hated the fold since i could well be getting screwed vs yeti theorem.
