I keep making these calls and im beginning to wonder whether its actually spew.
AQ/KQ could be 3bets 3 handed i guess if you have a liberal/loose image but meh, i think we need to bluff at the river or just arent good often enough.

Isn't he pretty much always betting this flop after RR preflop? I want to know if villain's 3betting is wide enough to consider pushing the flop or betting the turn. I'll give a hint though, Villain didn't have a Q.

i think the flop is ok, and the river i lean toward folding.
I think without a good read on how aggressive he is, it's better to just give him credit for a better pair or some sort of funky but better hand, but I'm not saying it's an obvoius fold since you look pretty weak.
as far as pushing the flop, I think you'd mostly get worse hands to fold and better to call, but it's still not bad to mix in.

what hands that 3bet preflop do we beat here? Even 99/TT/88 that might 3bet have us creamed.
If we were going to win this we need to push the river or fold IMO.

Villain doesnt lead a whiffed AK-AJ here ever? Probably not for a 2/3 pot sized bet...

he bet $80 on the river, you need to beat even half bluffs to call here and half bluffs inclue 88/99 although i do agree that AJ/KTs could be part of his range here too.
If i were serious about this river id push...

The problem with a river push is that there is zero folding equity, I've only got $60 behind after his $80 bet.
Fnord: my check or his check? If I bet $75 and have $75 behind, am I able to fold to a checkraise?

Your check and yes I think you can fold to a turn stack-a-donk c/r against most opponents.
Just to be clear, I think our bet vs check decision is interesting enough to warrant discussion. I also think we need to figure out what to do against a reasonable bet if the river bricks while we're on the flop or turn.

queen could be scary to hands that are still ahead of our range but can put us on a range that includes Qx

I was going to call any non-Ace or King river card when I checked behind the turn.

I'd probably just shove flop... I hate folding one of the best flops we're going to see in this particular situation (errr, ones that we don't actually hit a set on), and there's already a ton of dead money in the pot. If he's bad he might actually fold a big overpair and if we get snap called we still have upwards of 25% equity a lot of the time, flipping with big hearts, yadayadayada
I don't necessarily think the hand was played bad, I'd probably muck the river though.

shoving the flop is interesting but an overpair is pretty much never folding here so isnt this completely -EV as opposed to other lines?
River is an easy fold. The best place for him to continue to bluff was the turn and he didnt, he has AQ or KQ and he's v betting u because he knows ur going to thin call him.

Thanks for the replies guys, glad to see this wasn't too easy but i find myself in my of these situations where I'm too passive on turn. Usually when I call I'm behind and when I fold i'm ahead. Villain had A3o here FTW.
