Agreed.

And maybe I'm a bit too passive, but that seems like a good spot for a check/call. I don't usually bet TPTK on the river with a somewhat coordinated and paired board, unless my opponent is a completely passive calling station who is both very likely to call with a worse hand AND very unlikely to raise me with trips or a straight.

what is awkward about ~100bb effective stacks on the flop?

Look at his raise size, look at my stack size. WTF can I do apart from min raise or push? That's why it is awkward. If I make it 14 I only got 10 behind for a turn push.
