don't remember villains stats but he's awful. Never raising pf, not betting much postflop. Calling down with bottom pair, gutshot draw, anything at all, ETC!

NL$100 6max @Stars...

I ($110) raise to $4 with 55, folded to villain in bb who just calls.

Flop is 346 rainbow.

check, i bet $6, call

Turn is a rainbow making 5
check, I $10 into a $19.xx pot, he raises to $20

River bricks me
he bets $35, I fold...Any other way to play this?

This is exactly what I was about to post. If we are betting the turn, I dont think we can call a c/r on a board with 4 to a straight from a calling station.

Interesting perspective. However, if we value bet the turn planning to check behind the river unimproved it's a lot easier to get it all-in if we catch g00t.

Calling stations dont literally call with every single hand, albeit a wide range, it is still one that we shouldnt be betting against and they do fold, precisely on boards like this. As gabe said, we can and should check behind here and if he checks then a value bet on the river isnt a bad idea.

This is essentally what I was thinking. Even if I bet and get raised I likely still will have good implied odds here and he won't always have the straight here either. Bad thinking?
