hand 1: raise to $6-7 preflop. You obviously dont have any FE with a push, but you also cant be scared everytime the flush hits. i dont mind it with no reads on villain, but i like to stack off with overpairs too :P

hand 2: i would 4-bet preflop a good % of the time, but this is fine occasionally. Lead out the flop. Dont give a hand like AK a free card there unless you know he will follow up w/ a c-bet. Whats with the donk bet on the turn? And why the hell are you just calling the river bet? Your hand is waaaaayyyy underreped and you should be way more aggro on the turn and river.

my plan for hand 2 was to just keep check/calling and let them "bluff me" off the pot.

i checked the flop because i assumed he would cbet. it appears that cbetting isn't as prevalent in NL as it was in limit.

as for donking the flop...well, AK just got their free card if that's what he had, so i'll charge him more to see one more card. he could take another free card, which would be criminal!

river was a gut feeling. probably just justifying a bad decision....

calling a 1/5th pot bet on a paired board with an overpair on the river (whew) is never going to be a mistake i think

I don't like hand 1 very much. I would like it somewhat better with the K of diamonds. what is the push trying to accomplish? What better hands are you folding with the push? I can't think of many.

I think any better hand calls, and any worse hand folds.

hand 1, I understand you reasoning, but I don't think this is a semi-bluff very often. If I had a read that villian was actually kinda decent tricky or had evidence that he bet scare cards might push. He could just as easily have called from SB with a 3 and is protecting against your naked Ad! You rr pre-flop, bet a blank flop and he donks into you.

hand 2: I think is fine, although playing more aggressive early is fine too (maybe better). 50NL 3-bet range is *TYPICALLY* quite tight, although the min/raise is donkish. For some reason, I don't think AK is a huge part of his range here. I think he would have either called P/F or raised more. Min raise seems more like 99-AA to me.

Seems like you guys are putting way too tight a range on people who minreraise pre. Seriously you shouldn't feel retarded to put it all in with QQ on an under card flop.

i agree 4-bet pre on first hand.

Hand2: there isn't much behind right? i think your pot odds are too good at this point not to push.
