Carroters has a spectacular aura aboutCarroters has a spectacular aura about
Villain is 45/19 over a small sample, no real reads, but he looks generally fishy. This is the first time he's been oop without initiative on the flop vs me, so no idea what his donking range is here. I'd imagine most people check here with a good jack or better by default so I think raising folds out a lot of air, gets me a free river and also Ks and Qs will usually give me the best hand and A's can be barelled pretty effectively.

I think I can bet the turn harder here for sure.

My question concerns the river and how much to be if there's any value here at all. I don't like shoving because he has no worse Qs here and mainly Jx which will fold to a shove or QJ, random overpairs that are taking a passive fish line.

Thoughts on bet/folding river for 17ish?

Hoopy is an unknown quantity at this point
I'd probably check the river back as most Jack's won't pay off a river bet.
Plus if he's fishy he could have a set and be looking to c/r.

I do like your idea of VBing this river. We have to figure out an amount he can call with. I doubt he cking 2 sts, planning on CR the river with the nutz. Im a little worried that a small bet can send him into spaz/shove mode.

I'd check it back. His line to me says good jack, set, 54 or A4. You're getting value from a small part of that range and valuetowning yourself against a lot of it.

I think a bet (shove) is too thin as you're looking to get a call from Jx, which isn't unlikely in itself, but without more info on villain I assume his range contains more 2p+.

Can we talk about flop being total spew? Without a read, his betsizing doesn't exactly scream "wants to fold anytime soon".
