PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero ($51.40)
BB ($44.35)
UTG ($29.95)
MP ($40.30)
CO ($84.40)
Button ($51.85)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, K.
1 fold, MP raises to $3.5, 2 folds, Hero ???

---

Villian is 35/7/0.66 over 80 hands.

AK is a standard 3-bet for me PF in most situations, but the open raise by MP here is abnormally large (typical in these games in $1.5 to $2). In addition, the raise comes from EP, while I have the worst position possible.

What's your move here PF, and your plan on a A or K-high flop and blank flop if called?

I'm thinking 99-JJ, I would be thinking raise, but I like a call because he has such a narrow range that it will be easy to play post-flop.

I'm happy with most Axx or Kxx flops, if you call just give up on blank flops

This is usually some dummy with AA-KK someimes QQ trying to get more money in because he has the big hand. I always calls these kind of raises with garbage cards in late position if it's looking we'll get HU.

Initially I think call, but I don't think y0u can get paid off by JJ/QQ enough on A or K board to offset the times you get stacked on A of K board by the range of JJ-AA, especially if there is a Q or J too. So, folding OOP isn't bad here IMO.
