PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

CO ($86.55)
Button ($35.65)
SB ($50.25)
BB ($37.30)
UTG ($36.85)
Hero ($50)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K, K.
UTG calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2.25, 3 folds, BB calls $1.75, UTG folds.

Flop: ($5.25) 9, 5, A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero ???

---

Villian is 47/9/1 over 21 hands, no significant reads.

On a A-high flop with KK my standard is to check behind and c/c later streets, but on this flop with the flush draw out, is it better to bet?

You are the PF raiser...bet. If he calls re-evaluate on the turn and/or shut down. He's just as scared of the ace as you are (if he doesn't have it)...if he's got it, he'll let you know somehow.

BTW, not a big deal but raise more preflop with a limper. Not that raising it to $2.50 really matters, it's only a quarter, but people will fold Ax for that sometimes more often than you'd think. At the higher limits it doesn't matter so much b/c a reraise means more George Washington's.

I agree with c-betting and raising a little more preflop but don't think that's a huge deal. I'd look at your opponent's "call pfr%" too if I have enough hands on him to see if he really is as loose as his vpip shows. If called, use all the info. and reevaluate.
