SB ($65)
BB ($80.30)
Hero ($51.10)
MP ($49.25)
CO ($37.60)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9, 9.
Hero raises to $2, 2 folds, Button calls $2, 2 folds.

Flop: ($4.75) 4, 2, 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.5, Button calls $3.50.

Turn: ($11.75) 5 (2 players)
Hero ???

Villian is an unknown.

My usual line here is to bet 2/3rd on turn, then check/call almost any non-heart river.

What's your usual line here vs. an unknown?

If you think he's floating, you could c/r turn. I would probably just get meek and bet 1/2 pot on the turn. You are only giving him 3:1 on his 4:1 f/d, and zero implied odds if a heart hits.

I would prefer to c/c flop and lead non heart turn, same result but i think it puts the pressure on opp.
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

I think you lose value by check/calling flush, so many worse hands are calling like psb.

i dont like checking turn here either, giving a free card on this board is a mistake imo.

I dont see it... losing value part that is. also i suggested leading the turn. but i guess its a matter of preference, vs. an unknown thats what i would do /shrugs

I would lead the turn for about $7 but fold to a raise. Check/Call river on a brick.

I just hate giving a free card with an overpair on a monotone board.
