Screwed this one up. Original call i think is standard. Villain is running like 30/10. Not sure about second call (villain is running 17/16 but thats basically all I know) but the pot is kinda big... getting 3:1 immediate, just not sure if I had implieds because of stack size...

Then it gets weird.

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to GotNoSteerin [7 7]
SPEAKERFREAKER has 15 seconds left to act
SPEAKERFREAKER raises to $0.90
GotNoSteerin calls $0.90
water boat raises to $3.90
Giantkiller12 folds
Slow_Play_Devil folds
SPEAKERFREAKER calls $3
GotNoSteerin calls $3

*** FLOP *** [6 8 2]
SPEAKERFREAKER checks
GotNoSteerin checks
water boat has 15 seconds left to act
water boat checks
*** TURN *** [6h 8h 2c] [6s] Pot is almost exactly the size of my stack
SPEAKERFREAKER checks
GotNoSteerin checks ... Want.. to.. shove... but...
water boat checks OK WHAT THE FUCK IS GOIN ON HERE
*** RIVER *** [6h 8h 2c 6s] [3s]
Indy07 stands up
SPEAKERFREAKER has 15 seconds left to act
SPEAKERFREAKER bets $1.20
GotNoSteerin calls $1.20 Want to raise but dont see the point...
water boat calls $1.20

Definitely shove turn... You probably have the best hand and just about any card can beat you on the river. I'd normally just bet like half pot here but that's gonna commit you so why not just shove?

But as played there's nothing left to do but call the river and kick yourself for letting them get there...

Oh didn't read so well... Preflop was 3bet. Still stand with my read. PFR pretty obviously has 2 overs, it would be very tricky for him (not to mention stupid) to check an overpair here, with the flush draw and everything.

About the other guy, he probably missed too with his low PP or suited connector or something like that.

You are good. Now shove.

I half pot the turn, and river depends on what happens. As played i dont see how we can do anything different, if we're winning he's folding if we're not he's not folding.

My problem with shoving is if I'm ahead, I dont get called. If I'm behind I get called. But we have to weigh that against letting villain draw out. And I dont know which tips the scales.

what does your equity need to be PF to shove with all that money out there? I would think you're getting quite a nice price on a shove and you will get called by worse all the time.

my previous shoving reply was talking about turn. PF is interesting, but we have to vastly weigh villains reraise range toward pocket pairs >77 and AK... which is going to hurt our equity like woa. I don't think I shove pre.

ISF's halfpot turn is probably smartest.

shoving pre seems pretty bad. I probably fold pre too, i didn't realize what stakes this was. Looks like 25nl which means pre is a clear fold.

Approximately two thirds of the deck would be a scare card here. We have no way of knowing whether a river card helped villain. So we have every reason not to give him a free card.

And what hands that we beat would call a half pot bet and not a shove? A half pot bet commits you and villain should know this. betting half pot, getting called and then folding when an A or K (or diamond?) hits seems rather weak. You are just giving him a discount to draw out on you if he decides to.

30nl, but yeah. The first preflop call is std, its the second I'm worried about.
