I've recently been raising 5-6xBB preflop short handed and found that it has been more effective as people don't recognize that this is my standard raise and start putting me on overpairs.

I know the convential wisdom by sklansky is if your opps are nit's you should raise a lot preflop and if they are loose then you should raise less. The opps at
50NL don't seem weak post flop, but they become weak when I raise a good amount preflop.

What do you think?

I guess i could see it working... opps will be less likely to play back post flop with marginal hands/draws because of the pot size, Its like juicing the pot so you can take it down.
Of course, it gets expensive when you get played back at... if you can let it go those times it probably would be good against certain opponents.
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.
