Hey I've been thinking of playing a little shorthanded ring for the experience. I've never played short ring before though except for pwning 10nl noobs for the fun. The short tables where I play are 5-max so I'm guessing there needs to be some alterations to normal 6-max starting requirements.
Could someone try and set me off with some general positions and their starting requirements please? Tables are generall really loose with weak players going by the usual full ring game.

I don't believe there is much of a difference b/w 6 max and 5max.
I think the REAL strategy switches when you start playing 4max games.
5 max....meh... I don't see a need for alterations [Except maybe limp less... if EVER]....

Well, positional plays are more difficult to take advantage of since it's blinds, UTG, cutoff, button. Starting hands are the same, but I find starting hands and how you raise them to be table dependant. What level are you starting at?
