Villain bought in full I think, seems to be a below average regular running 22/17 or so. I've been in a lot of pots at the table but with the goods. Also, he called flop and turn pretty quick and fired river in ~4 seconds.

yeah... if you think he has junk you can call... but it's very possible the 5 could've helped

No. Possible, but not very likely. Almost any hand improved by a 5 was already ahead of us. Like 78 is the only hand he can have that we werent already behind, and its extremely unlikely he's called 2 big bets with a gutshot.
Just playing to improve.

If we didn't have the Ac I'd call pretty fast. Given that we do I still think calling is ok because I can't really put him on a hand that beats us other than a Qx flop float or a slowplayed something. Both are pretty unlikely imo.

if you think he s bad I'd def call

I'd never call vs someone good here since they can be betting like 88 looking for a Hero call
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?
