Villian has been 3 betting lightly, and being rather niggardly.
Villian raises pot in HJ, and I repop with AQ
flop is 89Tsxs
i check
check beihind
turn is a 6s
i check
villiab bets 2/3 pot
river is 7
i check
viliian pushes which is a pots sized bet for me
board is 6789Tsxssx
I say sigh and call.
Is this standard?

I'd much rather open push this river myself than check-call, and I think the turn is a very standard fold if you're checking the flop. Too many hands beat you on this board to call down.

Niggardly is a word synonymous with stingy and miserly, and a niggard (noun) is a miser. They are both derived from the Old Norse verb nigla, meaning "to fuss about small matters". (The English word "niggle" retains the original Norse meaning.)
The word is not related to the word nigger, though someone unfamiliar with the word "niggardly" might take offense due to the phonetic similarity between the words. (The word "nigger" is from the earlier "neger," which is from French nègre, from Latin niger, meaning black.)

I don't think it's standard, but you definitely beat some hands.
Under the right conditions (i.e. a read that he'd bet smaller for value) it can be o.k. I think.
But no, it's def a gigantic call and in no way standard.
edit : LOL BOARD IS A STR8 DIDN T SEE IT I M SKILLED SNAP-CALL

Triptanes, this is ridiculous, I really think you're lying, because these hands are nearly exactly the same. Boost had AsJs too.
Please tell me you're not fucking with me.

I think this is a call too. I just don't understand why opp isn't betting the flop with AJ especially when it seems like we have gtiven up the flop. I can't believe opp wouldn't bet a hand on that board.

Why would you c/c river? I don't get it. You'll at best split and lose the whole pot on some occasions, but you'll never win it outright. If you open push, he will fold sometimes and you will win the whole pot. You'll lose to a higher straight regardless, but it's way better then check calling. And yes the turn is a clear fold.
