I have started to experiment with playing less tables like 3-4, because I am realizing now that I have been taking a bigger bite than I could chew, and thus resulting in lots of monies lost. I have only played about 1k hands, but it just feels much better. One drawback though is trying to maintain vip status. I mean, they have no rakeback, so how am I supposed to make up for that playing on stars?

Are you trying to maintain platinum?
What stakes do you play? I 8 table 50Nl & its enough to get that status.
I heard it works out as +- 17% rakeback if you go for the $650 50 000 points bonus - haven't worked it out.

I was also thinking of dropping down to 4 cuz im running around 2bb/100, but then sometimes I think I get a case of fancy play syndrome when I think I have reads but just playing more ABC is often the way to go hence 8/4 tables wont effect my play too much.

I am always surprised that so many people can profitably multi-table SH games. I 3-table 5-max which works fine and I don’t get too distracted by outside sources. I have 4-tabled 6-max and I have timed out too often for my likening.

Maybe I am old or maybe a lot of my plays are read dependent. Either or I like playing fewer tables and be less reliant on a HUD.
